Commitments

LEt’s face it we are ruled by a nation of laws. And the laywers have taken that idea and turned common sense on its ear.
Our politicians are mostly laywers. And they obfuscate common sense and morality to mean what they want it to.
Contracts and a Man’s word always carries an *astericks* that easily breaks it. In sales it is called a weasel clause. Its your out. This is what has become of our commitments in todays society.
Divorce is nothing anymore as many of my middle age generation are on their 2nd or 3rd or gulp 4th marriage.
Is it any wonder that we cannot get 1/2 of our nation to commit to winning the war on terror?
Think about this.
3500 of our brave men and women have died in Iraq.
This was what occured within hours in Normandy Beach. It is sad today that this great nation would not have the cajones to Win World War II if it was fought under todays scrutiny.
At some point this Nation must choose what real convictions matter to them.We have a generation of people that are more conerned about a butterfly species, and a Cat’s life, than a humans. We have a generation growing up on the easiest ideologies to wrap their arms around than real morality. IF it feels good do it.
The Left fought for Gaza to be given “back” (it was never taken) to the Palestenians in the name of Peace. The Right said that is crazy. The Jews had made parts of Gaza prosperous with leading World Class industry in the region.
They gave the region to the Palestinians. Well now Gaza is a wreck as the Palestenians have taken over and disentegrated into the nicer of the terrorist groups are defeated (by force) and the “evil-er” runs the show. And now the Left blame Bushes Middle East policy for pushing for what the Left said to do. He abandoned his convictions and led with his heart instead of his mind(sound like Jimmy Carter?) and now Israel is closer to oblivion than ever.
