The Senate is seriously considering a fense along the border, while Mexico’s new Chief by a hair says its a bad idea.

“It’s time to secure the border with Mexico,” Majority Leader Bill Frist said last night before filing the parliamentary motions to force the House-passed bill onto the Senate floor in a final effort to get a major immigration bill on the president’s desk before the elections.

Headline out of New York.

New York the safest big U.S. city; one reported crime for every 37 people.

So let me see if I have this straight. I go to New York and I have 1 out of 37 shot of a crimw? Wow, that something to cheer about. I guess.

L.A. is 8th at 1 crime for every 26th people.

Looked at another way. Just walking down the block you will cross a crime scene/criminal.

Meanwhile on the same not viloent crimes are up.

The nation’s murder rate rose 1.8% last year after hitting a two-decade low in 2004, the FBI said Monday in a report that raised questions about whether violent crime rates will continue to head up after years of decline.

And the space shuttle has experienced a UFO:

NASA mission controllers are tracking a mystery object hovering between the space shuttle Atlantis and Earth, and traveling at roughly the same speed as the orbiter, agency officials said Tuesday.
