I get emails, this isfrom email so take it as Urban legend or truth. I only print them when I know there is at least some of it that seems true to me.

1. Public schools rank last in the number of computers per student –1 in 88 have use of one.

3. 47% of the state’s public schools are “academically unacceptable.â€Â This isn’t just due to incompetence. It’s also due to corruption. Former Congressman Billy Tauzin once said, ” Half of Louisiana is under water, and the other half is under indictment.”

4. Adjusted for population size, the state ranks third in the number of elected officials convicted of crimes (Mississippi leads the pack.)

5. Recent scandals include the conviction of 14 state judges, and an FBI raid on the business and personal files of a Louisiana! congressman.

6. In 1991, a corrupt democrat named Edwin Edwards ran for governor against KKK republican David Duke.  Edwards won with a campaign slogan “Elect the Crook.” Edwards is in prison for taking bribes from casino owners. Duke was just released from prison after serving time for tax fraud.

7. New Orleans has the nation’s most corrupt and least effective police department and the city has the nation’s highest murder rate. Fifty officers have been convicted of crimes that include murder, rape and robbery, and two former police officers are on Death Row.

8. Mayor Nagin turned down the offer of a Texas scrap metal firm to pay the city $100 each for hauling away abandoned automobiles that litter the city. Now, he’s considering signing a contract to pay another firm $23 million dollars to do the same job!Â

9. $10 billion dollars are about to pass into the thieving hands of politicians in the first and third most corrupt states in America. Worried about looting? We aint seen nothing yet.

14. The congressman from New Orleans is a democrat and one of the states two senators is a democrat.

This pretty much explains why Katrina was all George Bush’s fault.
