Mel Gibson’s Passion turns Apocalypto

July 28, 2006

To think I have Mel Gibson’s Passion of Christ sitting in my NetFlix envelope, and I read that Mel was pulled over inebriated while cruising in the Malibu area at “excessive” speeds.

Gibson won a best-director Oscar for 1995’s “Braveheart.” He has starred in the “Lethal Weapon” and “Mad Max” films, “What Women Want” and “The Man Without a Face,” among other movies. He just completed working on his next epic called, Apocalypto.

He is well known for his charitable endeavors and has offered to donate proceeds from his new movie towards housing in the areas where the movie was filmed.

Druggies For Hire

July 25, 2006

Its been an ongoing joke in LA and other California liberal towns that the liberal rags carries “demonstrator” ads, whereby they make sure that the speaker has supporters at the rally.

This has been taken to a national level by:

Josh Rales, a Democratic candidate for Maryland’s U.S. Senate seat, paid a drug-treatment center in Baltimore to drive its recovering addicts to last week’s debate in College Park, where they held signs supporting his campaign.

Change of Status Request - A Petition for Illegal Status July 10, 2006

The Honorable Barbara Boxer
309 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington DC, 20510

Dear Senator Boxer,

As a native Californian and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Immigration and Naturalization Service in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My reasons for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill’s provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, what I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years.

I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I’m excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications. As well as being able to stop paying exorbitant health care bills.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America\'s Border and Security

A powerful book for our time about an important problem for our nation, June 27, 2006 is one of the biggest problems facing this nation since the terror attacks on 9-11. However, getting Washington D.C. to do anything about it is near impossible.
Actually, this book addresses why illegal immigration is bad for Mexico. Why? It allows the corrupt and rich government of Mexico to ignore reforms to help the majority of their nation. That over looked fact has been bothering this reviewer. While all the free trade and pro-illegal immigration people call the anti-illegal immigration people racists they ignore the fact that the corrupt Mexican goverment is full of crime and oppression. The pro-immigration crowd actually hurts the relatives of the people who come to America.

Dan Rather & Michael Medved

July 13, 2006

Some notes from the Michael Medvid show recently:

michael medvedSo a Holier than Thou Lefty calls in and says, “Hey, If the war is so noble, then why don’t Bush send only Republicans to go fight in his war in Iraq?”

Medved calmly replied,” you know we have polls and absentee ballots with our service men and women, and it turns out that 80% to 85% are registered Republicans. so you got your wish!”

Fake NewsEarlier tonight Dan Rather did his first “coming out” interview with softballer Larry King. This his first interview since his abrupt exit from CBS. Rather was obviously bitter in his tone and blamed a conspiratorial entity that wanted him out and wanted him to” report the news the way they wanted it reported.”

I could not help but think, yah they want the news unmanufactured!

Women and Divorce

July 13, 2006

I must say that I think divorce is in large part because of the so called “liberation” of women. Not that was so bad. But with newly found freedoms always comes new responsibility or irresponsibilty that one must grapple with.

As women jumped into the work place it is not a surprise what happened.

Economic productivity jumped, divorce rates jumped, commonly accepted perversities jumped.

Why? The wrong assumption that men and women are equal in everything. 99 times out of 100 I will take any divorced man in America to defend me. Meaning the common myth is that men are one business trip away from a wild night. The truth is most often the opposite.

Further more, as a society we have grappled with spreading equality to every phase of our nation Even the military. So now we have to deal with whether or not we should have a woman on  the front lines.

Geez, that one seems to be a no brainer. Sorry I will take Bubba to watch my back and carry my injured tail out of harms way.

The notion of equality has feminized maleness. It has come to mean you can do anything you want, because well you should be allowed to be equal (gee wiz I am not allowed under this nations constitution to kill a baby am I?)

As we have let go of certain definitions of what is male and what is female, we have also let go of what is proper and improper.

Certain memes have spread to allow certain notions to spread virally into our nations soul. A womans Right to Choose. college is for experimentation, The glass ceiling, all have taken on irrefuted truth in our society. Much like it is a forgone conclusion that Bush lied about Iraq.( It has been proven over and over he did not, but who cares about truth?)

Women have done better in our society than they ever have economically, but they are miserable in their marriages. Why? I believe that is because they are repressing their nature in order to excel in a mans world.

Oh, men aren’t off the hook either. We have been quiet. In many cases irresponsible. Oh, “I am for a womans right to choose”, means I am off the hook for 18 years!

The law has been twisted and maligned to make very legal arguments that make sense legally, but not naturally.

These are the perversities that have risen from an overly litigous society, bent on allowing personal freedoms without exerting any responsibility. It is a society that has in the name of equal rights, has tilted the measure of equality uequally in favor of  women rights. While men are shafted to pay for womens indiscretions.

Every man I know that has been divorced or is going thru one is because of the woman wanting out,or even cheating on the man. And in many cases the guy is hosed with big child support/alimony with little visitation.

 Where is the justice?

We as a society have been feminized in the name of equal rights and I dare say equal repirations.

We have a generation of  young men in middle class suburbia that are dealing with issues of a manless society that in the past was what we saw only in the ghettos of America.

Freedom without responsibility destroys freedom.

Trickle Down Does Not Work

July 11, 2006

Or does it?

Record Revenues are pouring into Washington.

How can that be? Not when we are running such high spending on defence and disasters, not to mention all Congresses favorite pork.

“Spending has not been restrained,” Mr. Riedl said. “One hundred percent of the reduced deficit is because taxpayers are sending more money to Washington.”

But leave it the NY Times to pop the buzz. Quoting Democratic strategists stating that the deficit is still huge and revenues are not that of 2000.

The spin is that revenues are not keeping up with spending.

The Axis of Evil and a Treasonous Left

July 10, 2006

I recently ranted about the challenges and limitations we have in our War on Terror stems from the Lefts War against our Common defense.

They have stone walled at every possible corner.

David Horowitz talks about this very topic:

In a democracy, the opposition supports the legitimate rule of the majority. That is the principle on which our country is built. Not that they agree with the majority, but that they support its authority. In war, this becomes a matter of survival. This is a principle that liberals betray whenever they attack this war as illegitimate or as built on lies (all the while claiming that they are defending American democracy in the process).

The Professors: The 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America
comments:”Ward Churchill unwittingly did the country he despises so vehemently, a great service when his views came into the public focus. David Horowitz has delved deeper into the malignancy of academia with his book, THE PROFESSORS: THE 101 MOST DANGEROUS ACADEMICS IN AMERICA, where he seeks to further bring to light, the malice towards America that permeates through the classrooms of many, not all, of our universities and is even trickling down into our high schools.”

I am not sure why we just don’t call it what it is.

They will say we won’t let them have their freedom to disagree with the President. I call it Treason.

As I have said before with Freedom comes responsibility, or pretty soon you won’t have any freedom left, to destroy.

Viva Italia

July 10, 2006

italyItalians are going nuts from an Overtime World Cup Win that saw the Italians fight it out only to score then have it taken away.

Then having their player taken out of the game because of a flagrant headbutt by the France player who was a big butt.

And they say we Americans are nuts.

Damned at least our flagrant rule abusers will foul someone within the context of the game.

This dude was 80 yards away and he walks up and bam! headbutts the Italian player and he is upended.

Meanwhile, another Frenchman (or wannabe Frenchman until he needs some cash) Johnny Dep opened to the largest movie opening ever.

Johnny Depp’s boozy, woozy buccaneer Jack Sparrow has plundered the box office, with “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” taking in a record $132 million in its first three days, according to studio estimates Sunday.
