Apology From a General
June 28, 2006
I get emails…you know the drill who knows if it is real. But it sure is good!
“This Letter of Apology”
was written by Lieutenant General Chuck Pitman, US Marine Corps, Retired:
For good and ill, the Iraqi prisoner abuse mess will remain an issue. On the one hand, right thinking Americans will abhor the stupidity of the actions while on the other hand, political glee will take control and fashion this minor event into some modern day massacre.
I humbly offer my opinion here:
I am sorry that the last seven times we Americans took up arms and sacrificed the blood of our youth, it was in the defense of Muslims (Bosnia, Kosovo, Gulf War 1, Kuwait, etc.).
I am sorry that no such call for an apology upon the extremists came after 9/11.
I am sorry that all of the murderers on 9/11 were Islamic Arabs.
I am sorry that most Arabs and Muslims have to live in squalor under savage dictatorships.
I am sorry that their leaders squander their wealth.
I am sorry that their governments breed hate for the US in their religious schools, mosques, and government-controlled media.
I am sorry that Yassar Arafat was kicked out of every Arab country and high-jacked the Palestinian “cause.”
I am sorry that no other Arab country will take in or offer more than a token amount of financial help to those same Palestinians.
I am sorry that the U.S.A. has to step in and be the biggest financial supporter of poverty stricken Arabs while the insanely wealthy Arabs blame the USA for all their problems.
I am sorry that our own left wing, our media, and our own brainwashed masses do not understand any of this (from the misleading vocal elements of our society like radical professors, CNN and the NY TIMES).
I am sorry the United Nations scammed the poor people of Iraq out of the “food for oil” money so they could get rich while the common folk suffered.
I am sorry that some Arab governments pay the families of homicide bombers upon their death.
I am sorry that those same bombers are brainwashed thinking they will receive 72 virgins in “paradise.”
I am sorry that the homicide bombers think pregnant women, babies, children, the elderly and other noncombatant civilians are legitimate targets.
I am sorry that our troops die to free more Arabs from the gang rape rooms and the filling of mass graves of dissidents of their own making.
I am sorry that Muslim extremists have killed more Arabs than any other group.
I am sorry that foreign trained terrorists are trying to seize control of Iraq and return it to a terrorist state.
I am sorry we don’t drop a few dozen Daisy cutters on Fallujah.
I am sorry every time terrorists hide they find a convenient “Holy Site.”
I am sorry they didn’t apologize for driving a jet into the World Trade Center that collapsed and severely damaged Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - one of our Holy Sites.
I am sorry they didn’t apologize for flight 93 and 175, the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, the murders and beheadings of Nick Berg and Daniel Pearl, etc….etc!
I am sorry Michael Moore is American; he could feed a medium sized village in Africa.
America will get past this latest absurdity. We will punish those responsible because that is what we do.
We hang out our dirty laundry for the entire world to see. We move on. That’s one of the reasons we are hated so much. We don’t hide this stuff like all those Arab countries that are now demanding an apology.
Deep down inside, when most Americans saw this reported in the news, we were like - so what? We lost hundreds and made fun of a few prisoners. Sure, it was wrong, sure, it dramatically hurts our cause, but until captured we were trying to kill these same prisoners. Now we’re supposed to wring our hands because a few were humiliated?
Our compassion is tempered with the vivid memories of our own people killed, mutilated and burnt amongst a joyous crowd of celebrating Fallujahans.
If you want an apology from this American, you’re going to have a long wait! You have a better chance of finding those seventy-two virgins.
Chuck Pitman

The Senate Doesn’t Believe Gores “TRUTH”
June 28, 2006
While a friendly press praises Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth. The Senate Comittee on Environment and Public Works critisizes the AP for its shawdy reporting.
The report questions the validity of the scienctists that the AP polled, but did not reveal their names. Leaving out the WHO part of journalism 101.
They then quote several critics of the Gore film.

.. global warming seems to be tiptoeing toward a tipping point in the public consciousness. There has been broad agreement over the fundamentals of global warming in mainstream scientific circles for some time now. And despite efforts by the Bush administration to shrug it off as an incremental threat best dealt with through voluntary emissions controls and technological innovation, the issue has been making inroads in the collective imagination, spurred……

Washington Times reporter Bill Sammon makes it clear
that tens of thousands of voters in the Florida Panhandle–>Republican country–decided not to cast ballots when the media wrongly called the state for Gore .. “If not for the networks’ early and erroneous projections, Bush might have easily won the popular vote, and carried a few congressional seats with him.” ===============
Professor Bob Carter, of the Marine Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University in Australia, on Gore’s film:
“Gore’s circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they, and his film, are commanding public attention.”
“The man is an embarrassment to US science and its many fine practitioners, a lot of whom know (but feel unable to state publicly) that his propaganda crusade is mostly based on junk science.” – Bob Carter as quoted in the Canadian Free Press, June 12, 2006
Richard S. Lindzen, the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Science at MIT, wrote:
“A general characteristic of Mr. Gore’s approach is to assiduously ignore the fact that the earth and its climate are dynamic; they are always changing even without any external forcing. To treat all change as something to fear is bad enough; to do so in order to exploit that fear is much worse.†- Lindzen wrote in an op-ed in the June 26, 2006 Wall Street Journal
Gore’s film also cites a review of scientific literature by the journal Science which claimed 100% consensus on global warming, but Lindzen pointed out the study was flat out incorrect.
“…A study in the journal Science by the social scientist Nancy Oreskes claimed that a search of the ISI Web of Knowledge Database for the years 1993 to 2003 under the key words “global climate change” produced 928 articles, all of whose abstracts supported what she referred to as the consensus view. A British social scientist, Benny Peiser, checked her procedure and found that only 913 of the 928 articles had abstracts at all, and that only 13 of the remaining 913 explicitly endorsed the so-called consensus view. Several actually opposed it.â€- Lindzen wrote in an op-ed in the June 26, 2006 Wall Street Journal.
Roy Spencer, principal research scientist for the University of Alabama in Huntsville, wrote an open letter to Gore criticizing his presentation of climate science in the film:
“…Temperature measurements in the arctic suggest that it was just as warm there in the 1930’s…before most greenhouse gas emissions. Don’t you ever wonder whether sea ice concentrations back then were low, too?â€- Roy Spencer wrote in a May 25, 2006 column.
Former University of Winnipeg climatology professor Dr. Tim Ball reacted to Gore’s claim that there has been a sharp drop-off in the thickness of the Arctic ice cap since 1970.
“The survey that Gore cites was a single transect across one part of the Arctic basin in the month of October during the 1960s when we were in the middle of the cooling period. The 1990 runs were done in the warmer month of September, using a wholly different technology,†–Tim Ball said, according to the Canadian Free Press.

Bush too Stingey on New Orleans?
June 28, 2006
I have ranted about the blank check written on behalf of New Orleans. I mean we all know how the story ends. The politicians and do gooders all feel better about themselves for helping out the victims. Then when everyone forgets about it, the real cost and the real benefits are announced:
Among the many superlatives associated with Hurricane Katrina can now be added this one: it produced one of the most extraordinary displays of scams, schemes and stupefying bureaucratic bungles in modern history, costing taxpayers up to $2 billion.
FEMA spends $250,000 a month to store about 10,000 empty mobile homes at an airfield in Hope, Ark. (from the NY Times site)
Seems to me that Bush spent too much on New Orleans as opposed to not doing enough.
Support The Troops, Against the War
June 25, 2006
The Left are ” Against The War and Support the Troops”.
This is the typical line of crap that you hear from these guys so they can get a free pass to have it both ways.
So how does the soldier feel about that?
Check out “Dear Mr. Keller: Thank you for continually contributing to the deaths of my fellow soldiers.” at Hewitts Blog.
Iraq WMD’s Located–Yawn!
June 23, 2006
Bush is a liar! But don’t let facts get in the way of a good agenda.
Reality is that the Left could care less that Bush is a liar or not. They care that is it is his War and he has at the end of the day, AMerica is behind him.
Why else do they try so hard to knock him down?
Want WMD’s. They have been found. But don’t tell ABC, CBS, or NBS. It might mess up the story. http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/Iraq_WMD_Declassified.pdf
And the Dems are crying yah, but ” those aren’t the WMD’s we thought he had”.
Of course we know those are in Syria, according to his Georges Sada’s Book. Sada is an ex-General from Iraq.
An Innconvenient Truth
June 23, 2006
7 terrorism suspects were held in Miami Friday in an alleged plot against Chicago’s Sears Tower and other sites.
Miami’s FBI offices also were mentioned as possible targets. Meanwhile, Left Wingers are hopping mad that Bush would use wiretaps and that possible privacy.
And today Ariana Huffington exposes the Ny Times Article that shows that post 9/11 The Administration and even Allen Greenspan has beein involved in a loose privacy laws with offshore Banking conglomerates to find the terrorists. The point being the the potential for abuse is high.
My question is this. What is the alternative?
In WWII we had internment camps. It is a pretty good bet these arrested guys weren’t Irish. So again I ask. What is the alternative?
The Left do not have an answer. Which is why they will lose in the coming election. They would rather bitch. They would rather undermine the war effort. Gosh TRAITOR comes to mind.
While the Democrats make a run at taking the potential for non-existence by terrorists, and trade that for the potential for non-existence by Green House Gasses. All based on faulty science. And faulty reporting.
One is real, one is pretend.
One is ugly. One actually makes you feel good.
One is dark. The other a commercial opportunity.
And the Left sleeps.
Santorums WMDs
June 22, 2006
Bobby Earl quotes Santorum and is asking what I have been asking about WMDs:
Since 2003 Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent.
Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq’s pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist.
Pre-Gulf War Iraqi chemical weapons could be sold on the black market. Use of these weapons by terrorists or insurgent groups would have implications for Coalition forces in Iraq. The possibility of use outside Iraq cannot be ruled out.
The most likely munitions remaining are sarin and mustard-filled projectiles.
The purity of the agent inside the munitions depends on many factors, including the manufacturing process, potential additives, and environmental storage conditions. While agents degrade over time, chemical warfare agents remain hazardous and potentially lethal.
It has been reported in open press that insurgents and Iraqi groups desire to acquire and use chemical weapons.
Gore’s Great hoax
June 21, 2006
Three political figures of late have made huge efforts to matter. Despite their unfortunate or FORTUNATE, political demise, like Aerosmith, or the Rolling Stones, they just won’t leave us alone.
Jimmy Carter has resurrected himself as a Statesman, when much of todays terror problems stem back to his lack of action during his days as President.
John Kerry who some how gets re-elected in his own state thinks people still care in other states.
And Mr. Al Gore whose little niche is Global Warming. His movie is playing to the normal crowd. Not making much money, yet getting way more publicity than the story deserves. By all accounts it is a flop. Buyt when you are an ex VP that still means more speaking engagements.
I recall watching Rep. Dana on the the BIll Maher show where he never saw a liberal idea he didnt agree with. All the while saying he is independent.
Rep. Dana gave Maher a laundry list of scientists that say Global Warming is a farce. Maher, just shoved it aside.
Heck, I remember Newsweek in the 70’s scaring me in the 5th grade saying that the Earth was freezing over. I heard about it in school and scraped my pennies and dimes together and bought the issue.
It is amazing how our society behaves on whims and People Magazine and Enquirer Sound Bites.
Even though Scientists, that actually work in areas of science that matters say the idea of global Warming is a joke, The Farce has become fact.
Consider the sources here that say there is no Global Warming:
Professor Bob Carter of the Marine Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University, in Australia who said: “Gore’s circumstantial arguments are so weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they, and his film, are commanding public attention.”
Climatologist and internationally renowned hurricane expert Dr. William Gray of the atmospheric-science department at Colorado State University went even further, calling the scientific “consensus” on global warming “one of the greatest hoaxes ever perpetrated on the American people.” For speaking the truth he has seen most of his government research funding dry up, according to the Washington Post.
Oxford professor David Bellamy wrote in Britain’s Daily Mail July 9 2005, Dr. Bellamy charged that “the world’s politicians and policy makers … have an unshakeable faith in ..the central credo of the environmental movement. …greenhouse gas – into the atmosphere, causing the atmosphere to heat up.”
“They say this is global warming: I say this is poppycock.”
“As a result of their ignorance, the world’s economy may be about to divert billions, nay trillions of pounds, dollars and rubles into solving a problem that actually doesn’t exist.”
“The link between the burning of fossil fuels and global warming is a myth.”
Bellamy and 19,000 other respected climatologists have signed a declaration that rejects the greenhouse idea of fossil fuels causality.
Tom Hanks Da Vinci Code
June 19, 2006
Tom Hanks and The Da Vince Code has had a few weeks in the box office.
I have a couple beefs with both Hanks and the Movie.

First off, Tom Hanks is a very likeable actor. However, anything the guy does is immediately made out to be great. This movie most would agree is not a great movie.
The publicity it has received is because of the discrediting of Cristianity. Thus, Hollywood jumps all over it.
It does have an interesting premise that is as a movie in the end a yawner.
