Ny Times Credibility Lacking
March 23, 2006
The New York Times today admitted to a serious error in a story. This is the second time in less that 7 days that they have had to retract a story.
On Saturday it said it had misidentified a man featured as the “hooded inmate” picture from the prison Abu Ghraib in Iraq. Today it discloses that a woman it profiled on March 8 is not, in fact, a victim of Hurricane Katrina–and was arrested for fraud and grand larceny yesterday.
They buried the retraction both times.
2006 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC
March 21, 2006

Japan beats Cuba to win the first 2006 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC.
Japan stormed to an early lead then survived a furious Cuban comeback to claim the inaugural World Baseball Classic title 10-6 on Monday.
Cuba’s traditionally lucky red uniforms brought them little good fortune early on in the contest at a sold-out Petco Park, as Japan jumped out to a 4-0 first-inning lead.

Media Bias on Yahoo:AP, Reuters
March 21, 2006
It is about 5 PM in LA and I have taken screenshots of Yahoo News lead story all day as I open up my home page. So it has been randomly as I had the need to open up Internet Explorer.
Frankly it is almost a joke. It is almost like a deliberate effort to stopt this war in Iraq. It is like they have an agenda. (gee do ya think?)
Who would know that there is March Madness going on? You would think this madman Bush is leading us all to hell in a handbasket. Not reporting on all the insurgents we have taken out over the last few days.
No mention of the Iraqis working. No mention of anything good. And you would never get acceptance that morally and ethically this is a just War. Despite the oodles of evidence of WMD’s and terrorist plottings recently released.

Have you heard from Michael Moore lately? Of course not. His job is done. War for any reason if acted out by
the US is wrong by these self loathing individuals that have taken over the Left.
Look at this last still. It is full of self hate for the US.
So where can one find the truth? Or at least balance? Blogs. I had to go no further than search out iraq, and I found the following blogs in the news search at Yahoo.
According to the news and the past clippings I have posted here, Iraq was on the way for Civil War. Of course that is the Michael Moore Media (AP and Reuters). Of course this blog sees it positive that we don’t have Civil War. Of course they don’t it was just the Leftist talking points of the past couple days.
As this blog points out Conservative writers have lost faith with the movement.
As Richard Belzer used as his proof on The HBO Bill Maher show, that Iraq has failed, he says he can read as his retort when asked if he has actually gone over there. Hmm. Which brings up a good point. Where are all these Congressman and Celebrities that were way too excited to visit Iraq pre war buildup? Afraid to have your idealism blown to smithereans are ya?
People by nature read what defines and then supports their beliefs. Read contrary positions and then you will see the holes in your own philosophy and also the grander holes in your oppositions (if your is superior).
Belzer has done nothing but read what he wants to hear, as has all of the Michael Moore crowd. Look hard enough and you will find it. They have wanted to prove that Bush lied since the day they failed proving he stole the election from Gore. It has been pay back for the Clinton Impeachment.
It has been devestating to the Bush administration as the Right does not have the grander media to support its movement. The Left has a cause to fulfill, and damned it anyway if they have to fight a war they will do it under their “leadership”.
Kobe Byant & Lebron James duke it out
March 20, 2006
It was the Kobe and Lebron lames show tonight as the NBA’s most prolific players fought out a full 4 quarters.

Kobe Bryant got the points but Lebron got the win.
Bryant scores 38, James 29 points and in the end the Lakers had one last chance to win, but Kobe Bryant’s 3-pointer clanked off the back of the rim as time expired. Bryant, under double coverage and struggling to get off the shot, complained to officials that he was fouled.
The truth on Iraq
March 20, 2006
The News has been relentelessly negative in yahoo news.
To get a fresh perspective check out the voices of Iraq. 150 cameras from the Iraqi people created this film.
Of course the silence is deafening on the documents from the old regime. The most intriguing document, dated four days after the 9/11 attacks, is titled “Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.”
According to an ABC News translation, an Afghani informant told Saddam’s Mukhabarrat intelligence service that Afghani Consul Ahmed Dahastani claimed the following in front of him:
That OBL and the Taliban are in contact with Iraq and that a group of Taliban and bin Laden group members visited Iraq.
That the U.S. has proof the Iraqi government and “bin Laden’s group” agreed to cooperate to attack targets inside America.
ABC is having a hard time accepting these documents that were produced from Iraq itself for goodness sake.
In May 2003, U.S. District Judge Harold Baer created precedense when he awarded 2 9/11 victim families $104 million based on their claim that Iraq played a material role in the attacks.
Evidence introduced at the trial included testimony from former CIA director James Woolsey, along with accounts from Iraqi defectors who claimed they were trained to hijack U.S. airliners at Saddam’s terrorist training camp, Salman Pak.
Former interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi believed that Iraq had a hand in 9/11.Allawi said: “We are uncovering evidence all the time of Saddam’s involvement with al-Qaeda.
“This is the most compelling piece of evidence that we have found so far. It shows that not only did Saddam have contacts with al-Qaeda, he had contact with those responsible for the September 11 attacks,” he added.
The document indicates that Saddam personally granted bin Laden’s request for help with propaganda broadcasts and instructed his agents “to develop the relationship [with bin Laden] and the cooperation between the two sides to see what other doors of cooperation and agreement open up.”
The 1996 Iraqi intelligence document goes on to report: “Currently we are working to invigorate this relationship through a new channel in light of his present location [Afghanistan].”
The reference by Iraqi intelligence to “joint operations” with bin Laden apparently contradicts one of the 9/11 Commission’s most important findings: that Saddam had no “operational relationship” with al Qaeda.
57 Channels and no Choice
March 19, 2006
Following up on my previous post you will see Yahoo News links here.

IT isn’t Google or Yahoo’s fault. It is the fact that there are only a few syndicators. Meaning that everyone is serving from a few flavors. There isn’t a whole lot of diversity in news. The Network Anchor at ABC, NBC, CBS is serving up whatever the AP or Reuters tells them.
In the picture notice that despite the fact that not many showed up to the war protests, you wouldn’t know it from the link.
And to say Libby will embarass Bush is to not understand the story. The only person Libby will embarass is himself for covering up things, when he never broke the law outing Plam (if in fact he did out her). She was outable as she had already been outed, and it didn’t matter anyway as it wasn’t against the law to out her.
Biased Media
March 18, 2006
I have been on the PC all day. My homepage is currently set to Yahoo news. The headline all day long and yesterday for that matter has been somethig to do with the current move by American and Iraqui troops to erradicate the insurgency. This is the largest move since the start of the War.
Now, I see this as positive that we are finally kicking these people’s asses with the Iraqui army together with us. Instead, all you get is a negative spin from the media. Every headline has been like this:
Iraqi honeymoon long over, three years after war
Blood drips from the head of a blindfolded suspected insurgent inside an army headquarters in Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad March 18, 2006. Three years after the war, dreams of a bright new future have died as insurgency and rising sectarian violence have brought new fears, and more poverty. REUTERS/Helmiy al-Azawi
