Latinos Good or Bad for the Economy?

March 31, 2006

Did you hear that noise? It is another hospital closing.

As Mexican President Vicente Fox is defending earlier comments where he insisted that the U.S. will soon be “begging” Mexico to send workers to alleviate a coming U.S. labor shortage.

“I dare say that in 10 years, the U.S. will be begging, will be pleading with Mexico to send it workers,” said Fox, who meets with President Bush in Cancun today to discuss what he calls the “migration” problem.

Latinos Plan Nationwide Worker Strike

Meanwhile, Hispanic groups in the U.S. are planning a major boycott of American life dubbed a ”day without Latinos” to protest proposed legislation that would criminalize illegal immigration.

Besides being a real stupid move if they did walkout (kind of kills the idea of cheap convenient labor doesnt it?), the idea looms that if we lose these cheap laborers it will kill the economy.

The fact is it already is killing the economy and not for the reasons that our misinformed, wanna be social econmists on the Left would have you believe.

It isn’t because it is dragging down wages. A job is what a willing employer is willing to pay, and what a laborer is willing to receive. That is called a free market.

However, the challenge is that it is not a market operating so freely.

If the immigrant workers paid taxes, and, Social Security, etc. And if they took their wage and put the money back into the economy, then we would have healthy money circulating from this employment.

Instead, any money that might be spent to buy luxury goods or services goes back to Mexico as a kind of sideways Welfare system for poor Mexican family members. Thus, boosting the Mexican economy, not ours.

And while they are floating their families boat, we are floating their boat, by letting them use our Public services that we finance by paying into the system.

Time to Refi or Purchase

March 29, 2006

“Economic growth has rebounded strongly in the current quarter but appears likely to moderate to a more sustainable pace,” the Fed said in a statement explaining the outcome of the two-day meeting that started on Monday.

Federal Reserve officials lifted a key U.S. interest rate on Tuesday a 15th straight time and said further moves may be needed to keep inflation at bay.
The Fed repeated further rate rises may be needed, suggesting it was comfortable with financial market expectations for rates climbing to 5 percent in coming months.

As widely expected, the U.S. central bank’s rate-setting Federal Open Market Committee voted unanimously to raise the benchmark federal funds rate target a quarter percentage point to 4.75 percent, the highest level since April 2001.

Media Impartiality

March 27, 2006

Should it be this easy to find out how a so called journalist feels about an issue?

This I saw just recently about the recent student walkout. What is so paqthetic is that there is no way to tell who wrote it.

At least 14,000 mostly Hispanic students stormed out of school classes across Los Angeles in a snowballing protest against Washington’s plans for a draconian crackdown on illegal immigration.

If 500,000 March Downtown will anyone Hear Them?

March 26, 2006

If 500,000 march and want action, will anyone care?

On one side the obvious answer is NO.

If you are illegal, you are illegal. And with terrorism a major issue we need to get our act together when the same people sneaking Pedro over the border are the same people sneaking Ahmud over.

However, these Mexicans are the same that pick our strwberries in Ventura and wash our dishes in LA. They are the nice lady you let into your house to clean. They are as close to Jahad as you are. They just want to make a buck.

immigrants

Thousands of immigration advocates marched through downtown Los Angeles in one of the largest demonstrations for any cause in recent U.S. history.

More than 500,000 protesters - demanding that Congress abandon attempts to make illegal immigration a felony and to build more walls along the border - surprised police who estimated the crowd size using aerial photographs and other techniques, police Cmdr. Louis Gray Jr. said.

I had a hard time believing the number because most liberal protests give huge crowd estimates and a willing media provides a very tight shot of the front line, not showing the vast emptiness behind them.

However, I didn’t count the people in this picture, but thats a whole lotta Mexicans!

Another picure I saw from yesterday was all the downtown students protesting.

It is their right. Or is it? They are illegal after all.

Fact is it might as well had been ZERO protesting. They don’t have any rights that you or I have as a citizen of the US. Your forfathers, and mine got legal, and worked legal. Apparantly it wasn’t that hard to do.

For all the massive work these marchers spent, they could have spent much less filling out citizenship papers.

Weapons of Ass Destruction

March 26, 2006

Saddam Hussein planned to use “camels of mass destruction” as weapons to defend Iraq, loading them with bombs and directing them towards invading forces.

The play on words was oo tempting. But these reports prove again and again that this guy was the real deal, and the so called lies are becoming more and more just misinterpretations if not fact.

RUSSIA in IRAQ

March 25, 2006

The AP is reporting that Russia had spies in Iraq in 2003.

Russia had a military intelligence unit operating in Iraq up through the 2003 U.S. invasion and fall of Baghdad, a Russian analyst said Friday as the Pentagon reported Moscow fed Saddam Hussein’s government with intelligence on the American military.

Iraqi documents released as part of the Pentagon report asserted that the Russians relayed information to Saddam through their ambassador in Baghdad during the opening days of the war in late March and early April 2003, including a crucial time before the ground assault on Baghdad.

Of course your Untitled One reported on this about a year ago. In fact Georges Sada writes in his book that it was Russian Civilian dresed soldiers that moved all of Iraqs WMD’s into Syria.

Treatment at Guantanamo Bay

March 24, 2006

A female liberal wrote a lot of letters to the White House
complaining about the treatment of a captive insurgent being held in
Guantanamo Bay. She received back the following reply:

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20016

Dear Concerned Citizen,

Thank you for your recent letter roundly criticizing our treatment of
the Taliban and Al Quaeda detainees currently being held at
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinion was
heard loud and clear here in Washington. You’ll be pleased to learn
that, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, we are
creating a new division of the Terrorist Retraining Program, to be
called the “Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers” program, or LARK for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have
decided to place one terrorist under your personal care. Your
personal detainee has been selected and scheduled for transportation
under heavily armed guard to your residence next Monday.

Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud (you can just call him Ahmed) is to be
cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your
letter of complaint. It will likely be necessary for you to hire some
assistant caretakers.

We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of
care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly
recommended in your letter.

Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that
your sensitivity to what you described as his “attitudinal problem”
will help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct
in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We
understand that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling.

Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat
and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or
nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these
skills at your next yoga group. He is also expert at making a wide
variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you
may wish to keep those items locked up, unless (in your opinion) this
might offend him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters (except
sexually), since he views females as a subhuman form of property.
This is a particularly sensitive subject for him and he has been
known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with
the new dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire
I’m sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka — over time.
Just remember that it is all part of “respecting his culture and his
religious beliefs” — wasn’t that how you put it?

Thanks again for your letter. We truly appreciate it when folks like
you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job. You take good
care of Ahmed - and remember…we’ll be watching.

Good luck!

Cordially, your friend,

Don Rumsfeld

Charlie Sheen 9/11 Conspiracies

March 24, 2006

From the witty and scholary thoughts o big thinker Charlie Sheen, postulating on the cause of 9/11. Giving no real answers to his questions. Isn’t that always the easy part to ask the questions?

Alex Jones: We were talking yesterday and you said over the phone that the biggest conspiracy theory is the official story, I mean, at every point it’s a fabrication. It’s a lie.

Charlie Sheen: It’s like they want to just pigeonhole all of us into conspiracy nut-bags, when we’re not really debating things that are related to UFOs bringing down the Towers or Building 7 or the Pentagon, right, and so it just feels like there’s things in there that, we’re not the conspiracy theorists on this particular issue, you know. It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75% of their targets–that feels like a conspiracy theory.

Well, I’ll tell you, back in 2001 everyone admits that cell phones didn’t work over 3,000 feet, how were they working at 33,000, 32,000 feet? How did al Qaeda make NORAD stand down? Did al Qaeda call Mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco as the Chronicle reported and say don’t fly to New York? No, the White House did. Did al Qaeda call Salman Rushdie and say don’t fly to New York on Sept. 11? No, the Times of London reported that the White House did. Did al Qaeda run drills, CIA and Pentagon drills, on the morning of 9/11 of hijacked jets hitting those exact same targets, those exact same times, and then drills the day before and drills two weeks before?

Wall StreetCharlie Sheen: The answer to that would be probably not. But, no, it’s just the more you look at stuff, especially specific incidents, specific events, in or around the fateful day, it just raises a lot of questions. There’s a lot of questions. And I know that a couple of years ago it was severely unpopular to discuss any of this. But it sort of feels like, just in my research and in the people that I talked to, and in and around my circles, it seems like the worm is turning. Because you start talking about this even with conservative Republicans, and they can’t really debate away some of the most obvious facts of that day.

What did you think on that morning?

Charlie Sheen: Well, where do we start? I was up early, actually, and we were going to do a pre-shoot on “Spin City,” a show I used to do, and, so, gosh, I was up and I was watching the news and the North Tower was burning, and, so, you know, the world was focused on what I guess they were assuming to be pilot error or some tragedy no one could really explain and, so, I saw the South Tower hit live — that famous wide shot where it disappears behind the building and then we see the tremendous fireball — and it was there was a feeling that it just didn’t look, how do I say this, it didn’t like any commercial jetliner that I’ve flown on anytime in my life. And then the buildings came down.

Later on that day I was with my brothers at my parent’s house. We were out on the deck and I said, “Call me insane, but did it sort of look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition?” And he said, “Well, kind of, but gosh that’s impossible if you think what it would take for them to orchestrate that.” And so as the days and the weeks went on, I was sort of told what to believe, and I was told through mainstream media and all of the talking heads about what really happened. …

Charlie Sheen: … It just seems odd that an event, something that we all witnessed — because September 11 wasn’t the Zapruder Film, it was the Zapruder Film Festival, okay — and I think that, what was the great Hoover quote about “The bigger the lie, the easier it is to pass over on people.” I mangled it. I am paraphrasing.

charlie and deniseWell, now, Hitler had a similar one about he bigger the lie the more they will buy it.

Charlie Sheen: Sure. There you go. There you go. Let me
Let me just throw out a quote, just because we’re 20 minutes into this and I’m sure I’m being demonized across the nation by the, you know, all of the people that do that sort of thing.

But people see through the propaganda organs now like they never have before.

Charlie Sheen: Well good, good, finally. There’s a couple of quotes here. The first is: “It is unpatriotic not to tell the truth whether about the president or anyone else.” The second quote from this same gentleman is: “That we are to stand by the president right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile but is morally treasonable to the American public.” Theodore Roosevelt. …

Charlie Sheen:… Let me ask you this, though: Everybody is now familiar with the famous Andrew Card/Bush ear whisper at the elementary school, and that whole incident is problematic to me, because, as we talked about yesterday, it was broadcast three days in advance, his schedule, correct, the President’s schedule?

Yes, sir.

Charlie Sheen: And, so conservatively, if that event was being broadcast live, right?

Yes.

Charlie Sheen: How many people in the state of Florida knew where the President was at that specific point in time?

Basically, the entire population that watched the TV news. It was a big event.

So, if in fact he was being informed that the second plane had hit, America was under attacked, right, isn’t he then putting everybody in his immediate circle at great risk?

Including that school full of elementary students.

Charlie Sheen: That’s what I’m talking about, yeah. And, so, it would seem to me that upon the revelation of that news that the Secret Service would grab the President and remove him as of he were on fire from that room. … It might lead me to believe that he’d seen similar images in some type of a rehearsal, as it were. I don’t know. … Again, I’m not on your show to say who did it or why, because I don’t have those answers. It would seem to me based on what we’ve all seen — those images that are indelibly emblazoned on our minds forever — again, I don’t have experience in avionics or high-rise mechanics, but it looked like the majority of jet fuel upon impact exploded.

Yes it did.

Charlie Sheen: So, I have a hard time believing that a fireball traveled down the elevator over 1,100 feet and still had the explosive energy to destroy the lobby like it was described…

Well, I guess in the court of public opinion, I would say that people are not buying the official story.

Charlie Sheen: No they are not. They’re not. … But then you’ve got to shift the focus to the Pentagon. … Show us this incredible maneuvering, just show it to us. Just show us how this particular plane pulled off these maneuvers. What was it? A 270-degree turn at 500 miles per hour, descending 7,000 feet in two and a half minutes, skimming across tree tops the last 500 meters 40 feet off the ground. … It is up to us to reveal the truth.

Bill O’Reilly Condemns Media

March 23, 2006

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly last night on his TV show made this statement:

“There is a segment of the media trying to undermine the policy in Iraq for their own ideological purposes.

It’s no longer dissent, it’s no longer skepticism. It’s ‘we want to undermine it,’ and that disturbs me…. “I think there is an element in the media that has gone way beyond dissent and into actually undermining American policy in the war on terror, and it’s frightening.”

Osama Bin Laden Contact With Iraq

March 23, 2006

Oh say it isn’t so Teddy Kennedy! Ladies and Gentlemen Teddy and John Kerry have left the building. It was reported that Russ Feingold cried as it was believed someone heard him whimper, “does this mean I can’t Censure Bush?”

This ain’t from Fox News, this is directly from ABC:

A newly released pre-war Iraqi document indicates that an official representative of Saddam Hussein’s government met with Osama bin Laden in Sudan on February 19, 1995 after approval by Saddam Hussein. Bin Laden asked that Iraq broadcast the lectures of Suleiman al Ouda, a radical Saudi preacher, and suggested “carrying out joint operations against foreign forces” in Saudi Arabia. According to the document, Saddam’s presidency was informed of the details of the meeting on March 4, 1995 and Saddam agreed to dedicate a program for them on the radio. The document states that further “development of the relationship and cooperation between the two parties to be left according to what’s open (in the future) based on dialogue and agreement on other ways of cooperation.” The Sudanese were informed about the agreement to dedicate the program on the radio.

Oh gasp Helen Thomas just had a coronary. You mean is it possible that Bush din’t lie? Oh the horror!

“Hiding Docs from the U.N. Team”

A letter from the Iraqi intelligence service to directors and managers advising them to follow certain procedures in case of a search by the U.N. team, including:

Removing correspondence with the atomic energy and military industry departments concerning the prohibited weapons (proposals, research, studies, catalogs, etc.).
Removing prohibited materials and equipment, including documents and catalogs and making sure to clear labs and storages of any traces of chemical or biological materials that were previously used or stored.
Doing so through a committee which will decide whether to destroy the documents.
Removing files from computers.
