It seems that to be liberal, you care about poor people, and the environment, and such touch feely things.

Here, I think is how the differences plays out.

As a Conservative, we also care about poor people.

We believe however,  it is your right to give to a charity a portion of your earnings. As opposed to Uncle Sam taking it, passing on what has been statistically shown to be less than 10 cents on the dollar to the "charity". And let's hope the charity is effective and honest.

If they are not effective and honest, we as donors can withdraw future funds, but as tax payers we keep paying for the inefficiencies not only in the charity itself, but also the bureaucracy that siphoned off the other 90 cents of that dollar.

It is a matter of choice that Conservatives believe in. Not false choice, but the real choice we have to give.

It is also a belief in the righteousness of people to do what is right when given a real choice. It is also your right if you choose not to give. This is also called Freedom, which Conservatives also believe.

We also believe in the environment. As ambiguous as that word is, it can make a Lib get all hot and bothered, and even angry. Something that we have been pegged to be.

So how ridiculous is it to peg a Conservative and say that he hates the environment. If you hear what is really being said it is ridiculous.

The Political left has created a machine that has created self important and entitled individuals. Without the right to claim those entitlements. In California this philosophy has engulfed the state as we try to figure out how to make up for our shortfall.

The answer is simple. Just cut the illegal  aliens share of the entitlements and the budget is fixed. The Cali left will never let that happen because this is how they raise voters.

By nursing them on the leftist nipple of entitlement they can grow their next crop of voters.

They say Bush is an oil man. Ooooh bad. So what.

Kerry and the last President and the last Democratic Frontrunners are, well,politicians. The inconsistencies of the political left are pulling at maturing logical-even thinking liberals. Many are finally waking up in their right thinking and saying, "I think I am Conservative."

To them I say, "welcome and I hope you don't regurgitate that milk you have been nursing for the last several years".
